Well hello!

You guys will soon see this dress up LIVE on my Venice blog coming soon! Meanwhile, I wanted to do a post about it and how simple black dresses make the perfect wardrobe piece for so many moods and so many more occasions!

A simple black dress can totally have a WOW effect when dressing up for an afternoon or evening of fun. I love bringing them on trips too- EASY to match any shoes or accessories with and you don’t see the suitcase wrinkles LOL.

Whether you are single, dating, married or in any kind of serious relationship, little black dresses match up with just about any occasion.

I like to show legs so for me, short dresses above the knee are a good look. High wedges with a strap around the ankle are also a great look with short dresses. Fashion tip of the day ladies: THE HIGHER THE HEELS, THE SEXIER OUR LEGS WILL LOOK. Higher heels tend to accentuate our fabulous leg muscles from all of the working out we do, right girls?!

I also love that my arms are covered in what I call, “flowy” sleeves. These sleeves make me feel graceful and I love the fact that they cover my wrists because it makes it easy for me to say no to jewelry! If you can’t see it, why wear it, right?

(Now, I am sure many of you would opt for shorter sleeves so you could accessorize and that’s totally great too! I’ll make sure to post about those kinds of dresses too).

Believe it or not, I found this adorable little number in the swimsuit department at Nordstrom! They were selling it as a bathing suit coverup but when I saw it I grabbed it, realizing it had major “sexy black dress” potential.

For under $100, what a great find, right? I’m always so excited when I accidentally find what I’m looking for at a bargain price. My nose seems to track down and discover price tags that are the complete opposite of what you would call inexpensive LOL.

(Good thing Anton’s figured that out and still married me, phew!)

SO remember girls, keep your eye on the prize when looking for that perfect little black dress because you never know when or where you might find it!
