As you guys know, I love the current off the shoulder style of just about everything! Dresses, shirts and sweaters, you name it and I’ll for sure be wearing it. So many options for just one neat style. YEAH!
Did I forget to mention you can now wear off the shoulder clothing YEAR ROUND?
Let’s talk today’s outfit. A boutique find of mine. This shade of peachy gold goes great with slightly tanned skin and gold accents. I think the simplicity of the dress and the way it flows calls for very little jewelry.
Speaking of jewelry, I chose a large, long beaded necklace with a sun medallion at the end. Costume jewelry is the best, you don’t need to polish it, just grab and go. EASY.
And, if you have swimmer shoulders like I do, this makes for a great way to showcase them without feeling like a football player in shoulder pads (all my broad shouldered girls know exactly what I mean by this :)).
Anyone notice the Greco-Roman looking belt? A simple piece of rope attached to the dress, easily removable so you can always change up the belt if you’re feeling like a slightly different look.
Fancy or casual? The best thing about these kinds of dresses is that they can go both ways. Everything depends on your shoes and the way you style your hair if you ask me.
For today’s look I chose a more casual shoe from one of my favorite, reasonably priced shoe designers at Nordstrom, Dolce Vita. Affordable, fun and unique in design, I love their shoes. Oh yeah– they are so comfortable too! I can actually walk in them out to lunch with the girls or for an evening of fun out with Anton.
Warmer colors and tones are usually not my favorite colors. I prefer the cooler shades of silver and grey, simple black and white, and hues of aqua. But in this case, the style of the dress is so elegant and the color so perfect for both summer and fall that I could not resist!
I definitely recommend you ladies change things up a bit in your wardrobes. Don’t be afraid to try new colors and shades of old ones. Create versatility in your wardrobe with a few pieces that you normally would never choose. Mark my words ladies, friends will notice the new, fresh look on you.
Thinking about it now, I may try the same dress with some over the knee, high boots for a late winter, early spring look. Stunning for an afternoon of shopping or a girl’s lunch outing. What do you guys think? The boots also have major date night potential. What guy wouldn’t want to take a girl out dressed in sexy boots and an angelic looking dress?

And think SIMPLE. Elegant, beautiful outfits most oftentimes, do not require a bunch of fancy jewelry. Sometimes it’s nice to take a break from even having to think about what to accessorize with.
