Some years Christmas creeps up on me SO fast! I mean, it seems like yesterday I was literally shopping for my Halloween costume and now Christmas and New Year’s are practically HERE.
That means Valentine’s Day must be right around the corner…
Eeek! Hold on, let’s focus on one holiday at a time please.
Or in this case, let’s combine two: Christmas and New Year’s.
So Anton and I have received a lot of party invites this year. I swear, we’re normally not this popular lol. Every week I’m scrambling to find an outfit or 2 or 3 I want to wear to each party. Revolve.com is going to kill me- I think I’ve ordered and returned like 10 dresses in two weeks!
Don’t worry- I’ve definitely kept a few fab items as you’re about to see.
OKAY let’s talk simple, easy, party fashion. Don’t get me wrong, I love it when I see a woman all dressed to the 9’s with every matching accessory possible. But there just aren’t enough hours in the day for me to get myself together like that. I must posess zero talent in the complex fashion department. Sigh.
I like to keep my fashion simple, easy and to the point. You know what I mean?
So I wanted to share with you guys my latest outfit. I wore this out at our friend’s party last Saturday and it was a BIG hit! My fiance’ loved the red :). The best thing about this outfit? The pants and top were under $200. I’d say that’s pretty good for vegan leather pants (thanks to revolve.com) and a full lace body suit from Victoria’s Secret, wouldn’t you?
(The pole is not mine I swear ha ha… it made for some fun photos at the party).
Plus, if you’re like me and love to use your outfit for more than one party, the bodysuit goes great with shorts, a skirt or a late night with your man. I call it multi purposing :).
Hey, as ladies we spend a ton of money on our wardrobes so we might as well put our most fashionable pieces to good use, am I right?
Plus you have to admit, red is the perfect holiday color. And if you’re going for sexy, see through lace is definitely the way to go. You could pair my lace bodysuit with a black, nude or red colored bra as I’ve done here.
Kudos to Victoria’s Secret- this lace bodysuit is SOOO comfortable. It doesn’t pull down below at all (you know what I’m talking about ladies). I’m going back for another few colors!
As for the pants, I had SO many people as me on instagram where I got these. You’ve seriously got to check out revolve.com. They have the most amazing pieces. These pants were under $100! Totally doable when I’m going to wear them over and over and over again in the next few weeks.
The belt was something I found digging through my closet and threw on. A nice touch, don’t you think?
I already had a high heel pair of Louboutin shoes in black so I was set. But seriously, any high heels in black or a matching red color will do. Even silver or gold could work! And trust me, you can stay within any kind of budget you want. No need to buy expensive shoes if you don’t have to.
As for jewelry, I felt the lace didn’t need any accents so I just wore my engagement ring and some diamond stud earrings. Hoops would be nice too. And maybe a skinny bangle or two if you can’t live without a few extra pieces of jewelry :).
For a jacket, I chose my awesome faux fur jacket from revolve.com by UNREAL FUR. My jacket looks totally real, but it’s NOT. Compassion in fashion is the way to go ladies!
