How simple is this?!

A Healthy Breakfast, Snack or Dessert…

So I get really excited about simple, easy-to-make dishes that taste delicious!

This dish is for my non vegans. As I’ve said before, I am working on becoming a complete vegan so I do not eat greek yogurt anymore. My allergies actually got really bad from the lactose in the yogurt so it was an easy thing to give up. But for those of you who still enjoy dairy dishes and are looking for a healthier option, try some non fat or 2% greek yogurt with fresh fruit when you are craving sweets.

This dish is so simple and looks so pretty when you place your fruit on top. It has a very clean look to it which my crazy brain loves. I’ve served this at my dinner parties as dessert. My fiancé LOVES it too… I’m slowly weaning him off of meat… dairy is next HAHA… well, I can at least keep trying!

For those of you who are not familiar with greek yogurt, it has tons of protein. I think FAGE is the best brand. The healthiest in my opinion. Their 2% FAGE has 20 grams of protein, 4 grams of fat and 150 calories for one serving (200 grams). It’s a great snack post workout or for breakfast when you’re looking to start your day with a light, high protein, low calorie meal. Mix it with pineapple, berries, banana, kiwi or peaches.

Greek Yogurt, Liqueur & Elephant Conservation…

Even elephants get tipsy!

You can also SPICE it up with a bit of liqueur… my favorite is the choice of South Africa’s elephants. NO JOKE! These elephants enjoy snacking on the fruit of the marula trees. Some people say they even get a little tipsy HA HA! One thing I LOVE about this liqueur, besides its yummy-sweet taste, is the fact that the brand has made elephants their symbol and supports elephant conservation efforts, co-funding the Amarula Elephant Research Program.

You get tipsy while contributing to conservation efforts for elephants, HOW AWESOME IS THAT?! Check out my blog post on amarula for more information and recipes you can whip up with this fun little spirit!

xx Shanna
