So first of all, let me just say I love a man in a tuxedo. I also love a man in nice slacks and a sport coat. To top that off let’s add some Ferragamo shoes. I’M SOLD.

But let’s face reality ladies, our men really don’t want to play dress up 95% of the time! They’re very happy in their jeans and t-shirts, and underwear and socks with holes in them. (LOL… I throw all of Anton’s away if they have even one hole in them, sorry babe! The truth is out ha ha).

SO how can we compromise? Usually I can get Anton into a nice pair of jeans and shoes. He usually tries to pull off one of his long sleeved Lulu Lemon workout shirt looks before I give him the evil eye ha ha ha.

This is when I let him know that we have options: sport coat and slacks or something nice but casual. So in comes the nice dress shirt, phew!

In these photos, I’ve used my handsome brother in law (Rod) to model some of his finds. Believe it or not, he gets some great shirts at TJ Max and Sears. I love it… great prices and a super chic look! It allows our men to save money on their clothes so they can spend it on ours, right girls? 🙂

I kinda “nudged” my fiancé Anton in the direction of some fabulous Robert Graham shirts. I basically buy him one or two every Christmas and Birthday. He now loves them. They look great with jeans or under a sport coat. VERY VERSATILE. Practical if you ask me :). And sometimes they even go on sale at Nordstrom!

Now if you notice, Rod’s nice white shirt has blue cuffs. My Herve Leger dress is also blue and white. We totally match. Aww, how cute right? I love wearing matching outfits with my man, or in this case, my borrowed man! And it looks totally great don’t you think?

Rod’s look is so easy, he’s even wearing a fancy sport shoe. I opted for my girly Christian Louboutin high heels naturally. And what’s best of all? We look totally appropriate for a variety of venues. A fancy hotel like La Jolla’s La Valencia or George’s more casual rooftop bar scene.

If I can prevent an argument, I totally will :). Getting our men to wear a nice white or colored shirt with jeans and good looking shoes is perfect for almost any date night. Save those tuxedos and sport jackets for when we really need them ladies!
